IT Mill has received Turku Chamber of Commerce's annual ICT Award. According to the ICT Committee of the chamber IT Mill has proven that it is possible to combine open source products and traditional business in a well working and feasible way. The committee considers IT Mill as an excellent and inspring role model for other innovative software companies. The company's high international credibility was brought forth by the jury especially .

The award was given to IT Mill CEO, Mr Joonas Lehtinen at the Digital Tomorrow theme seminar. Mr Lehtinen has awarded the award money further to Free Software Foundation in order to support their work.

Turku Chamber of Commerce plays a significant role in promoting the interests of the commercial and industrial companies within the region.
